Contacts, our request

Our aim is to get in contact with our members and to maintain connections. That is not so easy in our fast moving time. The little faithful group of participants at our meetings generally amounts to less than 100 people. The members we know the addresses of are some hundreds, and this number is diminishing because of continual migration. The members taking an active part in our association get older and older. Where is the young generation?

We want you! Not for the army but for contributing to our aims. We know that you have a full agenda. Nevertheless, state your interest in our family! Send us an E-Mail (wallenspach@kzu.ch). Perhaps you will publish some cool pieces of news on our site. Let us know!

Our second request concerns our Chronicle II. We are lucky to possess an almost complete family tree at least as far as our ancestors are concerned. But we fall behind with the living Allenspachs the longer the more. Because of data protection reasons the residents' registration offices ceased to provide us with data about living persons or at least are very reluctant in doing so.

Our namesakes abroad we do not hear anything about. So, once more, we have to rely on you! For the completion of the Chronik II we need your and your relatives' data concerning birth, marriage and death. To indicate which Allenspach trunk you belong to would be very helpful to us.

If you want to help us and if you want you and your family to occur in the chronicle then fill out one or several Personal Forms.

Data of Allenspach members living in Switzerland yet is completed up to 1995. Later pieces of data are missing.

If your family has been living abroad for several generations, then your ancestor who emigrated will be the latest to occur in the chronicle.

The United States lines of the trunk Schweizersholz, descendent from Gottlieb Allenspach, mentioned in the example of the Chronicle II, are a special case. The lines Campbell Minn., Bay City Mich. and Peoria Ill. are completed until c. 1970, thanks to our member Jo Ann Still-Allenspach who sent us the missing data.

A special request is our homepage in English. We look for an Allenspach member to look after the English part of our site. Prerequisites are good skills in English writing and sufficient understanding of texts in German. Test yourself by reading the Annual Report of our president.
