The Allenspach Family Organization

Our family organization was founded in February 1947 by Theodor Allenspach, teacher in the town of Bütschwil SG. The first conference of our society, then called Sippengemeinschaft Allenspach, took place in Wil SG on 9 February. At our 10th family conference in Weinfelden TG on 28 Octobre 1962, our association was actually established. The 21st conference in St. Gallen in 1995 decided to change the name of our organization to Familiengemeinschaft Allenspach. Six of our past conferences were held at Allensbach Germany, our place of origin.

The purposes of the Familiengemeinschaft are the research into the family, the creation of a family chronicle as well as the keeping it up to date, and eventually the maintenance of connections and of the sense of belonging to this great family.

The membership in our society is defined as follows: Members are all the people with the family of name Allenspach or Alispach, the wives of the male Allenspachs and the Allenspach daughters with their husbands. Thus, the number of members is worldwide more than 2000 persons.

Naturally, our members do not have to pay a fee, but voluntary contributions to our expenditures are appreciated.

AGA Allensbach

The Arbeitsgruppe Allensbach e. V. (non-profit association, founded 1949 in Allensbach, Germany) is an organization with which we have very good relationship. The AGA is a society with local historical objectives. It publishes the Allensbacher Almanach, an annual yearbook which we use for our publications too.
